What is Exercise Combined Resolve?

Combined Resolve LogoMore than 5,500 service members from 16 nations will participate in exercise Combined Resolve XI at U.S. Army Europe’s Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels training areas. The exercise, led by 7th Army Training Command, will be conducted in two phases from Nov. 26 – Dec. 14 and Jan. 14 – 25.

Combined Resolve exercises the Atlantic Resolve rotational units while building readiness and improving interoperability among allies and partners. The training exercise also provides the rotational units the opportunity to have a combat training center rotation within a joint, multinational environment before they return to their home station in the U.S. Rotational units participating in this iteration of Combined Resolve are 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division from Fort Hood, Texas; and 4th Combat Aviation Brigade, 4th Infantry Division from Fort Carson, Colorado. Additionally, elements from the 18th Military Police Brigade, U.S. Army Reserve and National Guard will also participate.
