Command Sgt. Maj. Michael Sanchez is a native of Phenix City, Alabama. He entered the U.S. Army in 1994, completing One Station Unit Training with Echo Company, 1st Battalion, 50th Infantry Regiment at Fort Benning, Georgia.
Command Sgt. Maj. Sanchez has held all duty positions associated with being an 11B and senior noncommissioned officer positions to include Squad leader, Section Sergeant, Company Master Gunner, Platoon Sergeant, Observer/Controller, G-3 Operations NCOIC, Company First Sergeant, Brigade Operations Sergeant Major, Command Sergeant Major (Battalion and Brigade) and recently, as the III Armored Corps G3/5/7 Sergeant Major in Fort Hood, Texas.
