U.S. Navy Rescue Swimmers Partner with Colombian Special Forces
U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command / U.S. 4th Fleet
Aug. 29, 2019 | 1:37
190829-N-IA905-1001 SANTA MARTA, Colombia (Aug. 29, 2019) Sailors assigned to the "Dragon Whales" of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 28, currently attached to the hospital ship USNS Comfort (T-AH 20) participated in a three-day aviation and search and rescue swimmer subject matter expert exchange with the Colombian army special forces battalion. Comfort is working with health and government partners in Central America, South America, and the Caribbean to provide care on the ship and at land-based medical sites, helping to relieve pressure on national medical systems strained by an increase in Venezuelan migrants.
