Nov. 30, 2021 marks the official Transfer of Authority of the Joint Multinational Training Group - Ukraine mission from the Washington National Guard’s 81st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, known as Task Force Raven to the Florida National Guard’s 53rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, known as Task Force Gator. The 81st has left a lasting impact on our Ukrainian partners and on the mission as a whole.

Task Force Gator, led by Col. Blake Glass and Command Sgt. Maj. Jasen Pask, now assumes command of the mission here at JMTG-U. The 53rd IBCT will do its best to grow and strengthen the foundational bond left by the 81st SBCT and the predecessors before them, by advancing the success of the training mission here with our Ukrainian partners.
