The 7th ATC consists of seven directorates: Combined Arms Training Center, Grafenwoehr Training Area, International Special Training Centre, Joint Multinational Readiness Center, Joint Multinational Simulation Center, 7th Army NCO Academy and Training Support Activity Europe.
The 7th ATC also maintains training readiness authority over the U.S. Army's 173rd Airborne Brigade, 2nd Cavalry Regiment, 41st Field Artillery Brigade and the 12th Combat Aviation Brigade.
The 7th ATC provides dynamic training, preparing forces to execute Unified Land Operations and contingencies in support of the Combatant Commands, NATO, and other national requirements. Allied Spirit is a 7th Army Training Command-conducted, U.S. Army Europe-directed multinational exercise series that focuses on exercising tactical interoperability and testing secure communications among NATO alliance members.
The Combined Resolve exercise at the U.S. Army’s Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels training areas is designed to evaluate and assess the readiness of the regionally allocated forces rotation in support of Atlantic Resolve. The exercise also focuses on strengthening interoperability with multinational partners.
Dynamic Front is a U.S. Army-led exercise focusing on the integration of joint fires and Allied and partner artillery interoperability.
The annual exercise Rapid Trident is a culminating event for Ukrainian troops and validates the development of the Yavoriv Combat Training Center at the International Peacekeeping and Security Center, which is under the mentorship of the Joint Multinational Training Group-Ukraine.
Saber Junction is a 7th Army Training Command-conducted, U.S. Army Europe-directed annual exercise designed to assess the readiness of the U.S. Army’s land forces in Europe ability to execute unified land operations in a joint, combined environment, and to promote interoperability with participating ally and partner nations at 7th ATC’s Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels Training Areas in Bavaria. U.S. military forces stationed in Europe routinely conduct these types of exercises with allied and partner nations to enhance interoperability and readiness.
We train together and set conditions for peace by hosting and supporting competitions and challenges in our facilities.
The annual multi-day competition, with approximately 30 events, tests multinational sniper squads on land navigation, advanced marksmanship, medical simulations and more.
Participating units will be tested on offensive and defensive operations as well as tasks including vehicle identification, battle damage assessment and maneuvers.
