The 7th Army Noncommissioned Officer Academy (7th Army NCOA) is the first NCO Academy in the United States Army, originally established in 1949. Located in Grafenwoehr, Germany, it serves the U.S. Army Europe and African theater. Its mission is to cultivate holistically fit, disciplined, and adaptable leaders, enabling them to build cohesive teams, excel in multi-domain large scale combat operations, and to ensure readiness and victory in the joint operational environment.
The 7th Army NCOA trains U.S. and multinational service members using the Basic Leader Course (BLC) curriculum from the U.S. Army Noncommissioned Officer Academy (USANCOA). The 30-academic-day and MOS-immaterial course comprises 220 academic hours, structured into four modules: Leadership & Communications, Program Management & Readiness, Training Management & Operations, and Situational Training Exercise & Capstone. The Academy conducts 8 training cycles per year, with an average enrollment of 200 students per cycle.
