The 7th ATC is centrally located among the highest concentration of U.S. allies and partners in the world. By routinely training together at 7th ATC, U.S. and multinational forces build trust, develop interoperability and set the conditions for creating the strong coalitions that will guarantee peace and security in the region.

Allied Spirit

Allied Spirit is a 7th Army Training Command-conducted, U.S. Army Europe-directed multinational exercise series that focuses on exercising tactical interoperability and testing secure communications among NATO alliance members.

Combined Resolve
The Combined Resolve exercise at the U.S. Army’s Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels training areas is designed to evaluate and assess the readiness of the regionally allocated forces rotation in support of Atlantic Resolve. The exercise also focuses on strengthening interoperability with multinational partners.

Dynamic Front is a U.S. Army-led exercise focusing on the integration of joint fires and Allied and partner artillery interoperability.

Rapid Trident
The annual exercise Rapid Trident is a culminating event for Ukrainian troops and validates the development of the Yavoriv Combat Training Center at the International Peacekeeping and Security Center, which is under the mentorship of the Joint Multinational Training Group-Ukraine.

Saber Junction
Saber Junction is a 7th Army Training Command-conducted, U.S. Army Europe-directed annual exercise designed to assess the readiness of the U.S. Army’s land forces in Europe ability to execute unified land operations in a joint, combined environment, and to promote interoperability with participating ally and partner nations at 7th ATC’s Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels Training Areas in Bavaria. U.S. military forces stationed in Europe routinely conduct these types of exercises with allied and partner nations to enhance interoperability and readiness.

115th Anniversary of Grafenwoehr Training Area

For 115 years, Grafenwöhr Training Area has been a cornerstone of military readiness, partnership, and innovation. Established in 1910 by the Royal Bavarian Army and used by U.S. forces since 1945, Grafenwöhr has grown into one of the most advanced and strategically important training areas in Europe. Today, the 7th Army Training Command is the U.S. Army’s largest overseas training command, which enables readiness for U.S. Army Europe and Africa forces, NATO allies, and partner for peace nations. Readiness is our number one priority—we deliver trained, equipped, and combat-ready forces for any global mission. Grafenwöhr Training Area promotes interoperability and modernization, preparing U.S and multinational forces to fight and win in a near-peer environment. For decades, the U.S. Army has been working with our German partners to protect and conserve the environment while undertaking important military training here. Throughout it’s history, Grafenwöhr Training Area has stood for strength, shared commitment, and enduring partnership—with deep bonds to the local community.
