Joint Multinational Training Group-Ukraine
JMTGU LogoJoint Multinational Training Group-Ukraine is the name given to the mission of training the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 7th Army Training Command oversees the JMTG-U mission, currently manned by Task Force Thunder, 155th Armored Brigade Combat Team, Mississippi Army National Guard.

The U.S.-led training for the Armed Forces of Ukraine is overseen by U.S. European Command, U.S. Army Europe and Africa, and the Security Assistance Group-Ukraine; is led by 7ATC; and supported by a myriad of other organizations, including JMTG-U. It represents the continuation of a world-wide effort to help Ukraine defend itself from Russia's brutal and unprovoked war.

Training in Germany from 2022: In 2022, JMTG-U relocated to Grafenwoehr and resumed its role of training Armed Forces of Ukraine in Germany. Since then, the training continues to evolve based on the needs of and in coordination with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Since relocating to Germany, JMTG-U has been manned by TF Gator, 53rd IBCT, Florida Army National Guard; TF Orion, 27th IBCT, New York Army National Guard; and TF Bowie, 39th IBCT, Arkansas Army National Guard.

In February 2022, U.S. European Command repositioned JMTG-U to Grafenwoehr, Germany:

Training in Ukraine prior to 2022: The JMTG-U mission at Combat Training Center-Yavoriv at the International Peacekeeping and Security Centre in Ukraine dates back to 2015 and has been supported by U.S. Army units including: 173rd Airborne Brigade, followed by the 79th Infantry Brigade Combat Team out of the California Army National Guard, and the 3rd Infantry Division under the name Fearless Guardian and reporting directly to U.S. Army Europe. Since 2016, the name change to JMTG-U and mission alignment to 7th Army Training Command, it has seen deployments from the Oklahoma National Guard's 45th IBCT, New York National Guard's 27th IBCT, Tennessee Army National Guard’s 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment, the 101st Airborne Division from Fort Campbell, Wisconsin Army National Guard's 32nd IBCT, Illinois Army National Guard’s 33rd IBCT, Washington Army National Guard's 81st SBCT and the Florida Army National Guard's 53rd IBCT.
