The UK will be leading a new NATO battlegroup in Estonia. 800 British troops are to be based in the country this year, along with 300 French troops. The last of the British contingent arrived yesterday at Ämari Air Base.

The move is in support of NATO’s defence and deterrence measures for its eastern Allies. Three other battlegroups are being created in Latvia, Lithuania and Poland.

This footage has been filmed by the Ministry of Defence of Estonia. It is made up of two files, one containing shots of British troops landing in Estonia and an interview with Colonel Mark Wilson, eFP battlegroup Commander; the other file shows British vehicles being offloaded at a port in Paldiskis, Estonia. Please credit this footage to the Estonian Ministry of Defence.
