Fleet Combat Camera Pacific
July 20, 2012 | 0:55
For the first time in RIMPAC history, the exercise has featured a humanitarian assistance/disaster relief exercise which involved a number of RIMPAC participants as well as local hospitals. Military forces teaming up directly with the local emergency organizations has made for a unique training opportunity which helps participants foster and sustain cooperative relationships. We simulated an international disaster and our teams working together. My folks enjoyed working with the, especially with the international forces that were here. We had an opportunity to host Vietnamese, Taiwanese, Japanese, The HA/DR exercise provided a unique opportunity for the participating nations to practice responding to a potential disaster. For combat camera group pacific, I’m petty officer Jason Johnston. There is a soundbite from Toby L. Clairmont, RN, CEM Director, Emergency Services, Healthcare Association of Hawaii, HAWAII. Also available in high definition.
