405 AEG Multi-Modal Operations (B-roll)
United States Air Forces Central
Jan. 8, 2014 | 7:55
The 405th Air Expeditionary Group is a vital link in meeting operational demands of units throughout the AOR. Few units fully embody in scope and breadth the range of logistical expertise like the 405th AEG. Officially, they are part of a multi-modal process that relies on sea, ground and air transportation to ensure personnel and equipment arrive to their target, and importantly, return home once the mission is done. The 405th is USTRANSCOM’s least cost Multi-Modal operation and second in total cargo moved. They have 6 chains of command supporting three (3) 4-Star Generals and two Combatant Commanders. Success is virulent and it’s seen in the success of the operations and in the heart of the people who take great pride in their participation for America and freedom. Produced by MSgt Pedro Jimenez
