Synopsis
The Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre (EADRCC) is NATO’s first line of defence when natural or man-made disasters strike. Made up of experts from across NATO’s Allied and partner nations, the centre is responsible for coordinating requests for international assistance in times of crisis. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the EADRCC has tracked requests for international assistance from several Allies and partners. Footage includes shots of humanitarian airlifts supporting Allies during the COVID-19 crisis as well as EADRCC field exercises. Some footage courtesy of the Czech Armed Forces, Slovenian Ministry of Defence, Spanish Armed Forces, Luxembourg Armed Forces and the Strategic Airlift Capability.
