Dubbed the Ball Throw by soldiers, this event's original purpose was to provide an assessment of a soldier’s muscular explosive power for quick movements but is absent from the updated Army Fitness Test implemented June 1, 2025 (U.S. Army video production by Pfc. Lilly Pendergrass).
