Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory (GSL) research focuses on airfields and pavements, mobility, impact and explosion effects, concrete and materials, structural engineering and mechanics, geotechnical engineering and geosciences, and survivability engineering. Through a unique combination of laboratory experimentation, material characterization, full-scale field testing and high-performance computational analysis, GSL focuses on technology development in the following areas:
• Civil works/infrastructure
• Force projection/maneuver support
• Force protection/weapons effects
• Operational support/technology transfer
