Oct. 24, 2023 | 9:56
U.S. Marines with 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, assigned to Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One, participate in Assault Support Tactics (AST) 4 during Weapons and Tactics Instructor (WTI) course 1-24, near Yuma, Arizona, Oct. 24, 2023. Video includes aerial lift, transport of Helicopter Expeditionary Refueling System, 81mm mortar live-fire range, and close air support. WTI is an advanced, graduate-level course for selected pilots and enlisted aircrew providing standardized advanced tactical training and assists in developing and employing aviation weapons and tactics. AST-4 provides prospective weapons and tactics instructors the opportunity to plan, brief, and execute a night, long range battalion air assault to multiple objectives simultaneously in a medium threat environment while conducting five of the six functions of Marine Aviation.
