The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Buffalo District Commander, Lt. Col. Jason Toth, tours the Athol Springs Shoreline Protection project in Hamburg, NY, May 5, 2020.
The project will protect 40,000 motorists a day who face hazardous conditions between Buffalo and the Southtowns due to water, ice and debris from Lake Erie overtopping the existing seawall along Route 5.
