Working as a Civilian in South Korea
8th Army
Aug. 28, 2023 | 3:00
What's life like for an Army Civilian living and working in South Korea? Check out this short video! If you're interested in coming to Korea, look for opportunities on www.USAJOBS.gov. Search "Korea." There are also positions available outside of Department of the Army Civilian roles. See our Eighth Army webpage at https://8tharmy.korea.army.mil/site/families/employement-opportunities.asp.
Civilians are an invaluable part of the U.S. Army mission. Since 1776, the U.S. Army has employed civilians to work alongside Soldiers in uniform, filling critical support roles in more than 500 career fields. With more than 330,000 employees, the Army Civilian Corps is one of the largest, busiest, and most successful organizations within the Department of Defense.
