Medical facilities in Puerto Rico were heavily damaged in hurricane Maria.
In Aguadilla, a city of sixty thousand people, the local hospital still remains closed. The US department of health and human services sent one of their Disaster Medical Assistance Teams or DMATS to provide care during the crisis. The mobile facility is staffed by civilians, Soldiers, and airmen. Captain Prabu Selvam is an emergency room doctor from the 633rd medical squadron at Langely Air force base. He discusses the how the team came together.
