US Navy LCACs embark aboard USS Makin Island

201005-M-UY835-1001 PACIFIC OCEAN (Oct. 5, 2020) – U.S. Navy landing craft, air cushions, assigned to Assault Craft Unit 5, maneuver into the well deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8) during operations while underway. The Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group and the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit are currently conducting at-sea training events in the U.S. 3rd Fleet area of operations.
