The district and its partners worked hand-in-hand to place federally endangered mussels along the Mississippi River in Pool 2, Aug. 17. The team is trying to propel the growth of endangered species in other areas within Minnesota beyond the St. Croix River. The endangered species include the Higgins eye and winged maple leaf mussels.
