190309-N-MD802-1001 CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. (March 9, 2019) Equipment Operator 3rd Class Tyler Marcus assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 5 (NMCB-5), conducts a road improvement project on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California as part of Exercise Pacific Blitz 2019 (PacBlitz19). NMCB-5 provides support to 1st Marine Logistics Group in the establishment and maintenance of advanced naval bases. PacBlitz19 provides relevant training that replicates a realistic maritime threat environment designed to improve naval amphibious core competencies necessary for effective, global crisis response expected of the Navy and Marine Corps.
