On 15 May 2014, a press conference was held at Glen Cove High School to raise awareness of the Dan Daly Cup to the Glen Cove community. The panel consisted of Commanding Officer of Recruiting Station New York Maj. Robert Jones, Sgt. Maj. of RSNY Sgt. Maj. Rufino Mendez, Nassau County Lacrosse Coaches Association's Secretary Steve Tripp, City of Glen Cove's Mayor Reginald Spinello, Glen Cove City School's Superintendant of Schools Maria Rianna, and New York Lizards Vice President Casey Hilpert.
