The second key task in Rear Adm. Guido Valldes' Commander’s Intent for Naval Medical Forces Pacific and the Defense Health Network Pacific Rim is operational readiness. In military medicine, that is our foundation. It is why we wear the uniform and why we work in our military treatment facilities. Everything we do is geared toward the success of military operations and achieving the mission. For the Region and the Network, that means ensuring we have a ready medical force and a medically ready force.
