170713-N-WF272-003 TOWNSHEND ISLAND, Australia (July 13, 2017) Landing craft air cushions (LCAC) and anding craft utility (LCU) assigned to Naval Beach Unit (NBU) 7, conduct 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) forces and equipment offload on the beach as part of large-scale amphibious assault during Talisman Saber 17. LCACs and LCUs enabled movement of 31st MEU forces and equipment ashore in order for the MEU to complete mission objectives in tandem with Australian counterparts.
