VMA-542 Ordnance Marines Ensure Mission Accomplishment
III MEF
July 9, 2014 | 1:17
Military aviation serves many purposes, to include troop and gear movement, medical evacuations, surveillance, and most importantly, combat support. The Harriers of Marine Attack Squadron 542 do just that, serving as a weapon against our enemies. However, they’d be ineffective in their mission without ordnance. Corporal Fareeza Ali took to the flight line to take a look at how VMA-542’s Harriers are transformed into lethal fighting machines. Soundbites include Marines from East Moline, Ill. and Titusville, Fla.
