In 2004, the United States Navy began working with the US Army and Japanese Government on construction of a brand new Landing Craft Air Cushion facility located outside of Saikai. Seaman Andrew Frisbie went to Yokose for the opening of the new facility and tells us what it means for base operations and the U.S. Navy’s relationship with Japan.
