U.S. Marines with Mobile Training Team, Command Element, Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force Southern Command 17, and members of the Armada de la Republica Dominicana Infanteria de Marina conduct a final exercise to close out a month-long pilot course on infantry tactics aboard Naval Base Las Calderas in Las Calderas, Dominican Republic, July 10 - Aug. 4, 2017. The MTT in the Dominican Republic is one of several teams from SPMAGTF-SC being deployed to Caribbean and South American countries to conduct training with their counterparts there. The Marines and sailors of SPMAGTF-SC are deployed to Central America to conduct security cooperation training and engineering projects with their counterparts in several Central American and Caribbean nations.
