Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Camp Pendleton currently serves as the rotary wing hub for Marine Aircraft Group-39. MCAS Camp Pendleton is home to 5,000 Marines serving in 11 active squadrons. The air station supports operations for the AH-1Z Viper helicopter, the UH-1Y Venom helicopter and the MV-22 Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft. In addition, over 250 civilian employees work at the air station and contribute to the economic welfare of the region. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Cpl. Juan Bustos, Cpl. Noah Rudash, and Cpl.
