134th ARW delivers gifts to patients at East Tennessee Children's Hospital.
134th Air Refueling Wing
Dec. 3, 2022 | 7:05
Airmen and volunteers from the 134th Air Refueling Wing ‘Santa Cops’ program will deliver $10,300 worth of gifts to hospitalized children and their families at the East Tennessee Children’s Hospital December 3, 2022. This is the 21st year of the annual event, which has raised more than $220,000 throughout various fundraising events over the course of the year.
The Santa Cops program was created in 2001 when $600 was raised, enabling Airmen to deliver coloring books and crayons to East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. The 134th ARW, in partnership with private organizations, now raises an average of $9,000 yearly. These donations are gathered through events such as golf tournaments, clay shoots and other activities that allow Airmen to bond, while supporting a great cause.
