Bundermann, infantry officer assigned to Troop B, 3rd Squadron, 61st Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, receives the Distinguished Service Cross, March 7, 2019, during a ceremony at the Northrop Auditorium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Thomas S. James Jr., commander of 1st U.S. Army, presented the award to Bundermann for his actions on Oct. 3, 2009 on Combat Outpost Keating, Afghanistan.
