143d Sustainment Command (Expeditionary)
Nov. 10, 2012 | 2:44
More than 30 Soldiers from the 410th Quartermaster Detachment, an Army Reserve unit based in Jacksonville, Fla., pumped thousands of gallons of flood waters out of Breezy Point, a New York City neighborhood where most of its 4,000 residents scour through wreckage by Hurricane Sandy. The 410th mobilized Nov. 2 and arrived in New York Nov. 8 to commence water pumping, distribution and treatment operations in communities hardest hit by the hurricane.
