AFRL Museum Tech - Rocket Propulsion
Air Force Research Laboratory
Feb. 22, 2023 | 2:32
Our earliest rocket engines were used to help planes to take off in a shorter distance or if they had a heavy load. When our rocket engines started getting bigger and bigger, we started a directorate for the effort at Edwards Air Force Base!
Each Thursday, we drop educational and historical #ThrowBackThursday content on our FB and YouTube channels — all thanks to Kevin Rusnak, the chief historian for the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center.
