Sergeant 1st Class Frank Richard joined the U.S. Navy in 1969 and at boot camp he took the Navy SEAL test and passed. After rigorous SEAL training, Richard deployed to Vietnam in December of 1970 and completing his tour in June 1971. Richard was honorably discharged from the Navy in February 8, 1980 as a Electrician's Mate 1st Class.
