Bayamon Innovates Debris Monitoring With Drones
Federal Emergency Management Agency
Jan. 17, 2018 | 2:06
BAYAMON, Puerto Rico, December 17, 2017 - Land surveyor for the municipality of Bayamón, Wilfredo Flores Rivera, explains how they innovated debris monitoring by integrating drone technology. To measure volume and create a certified report, the process would normally take a few days. With the use of unmanned vehicles such as drones, the report can be generated in approximately three hours, it prevents harm to the personnel working on the debris pile, and the calculations are highly accurate.
