Exercise Sudden Response 20 MCD Line
Joint Task Force Civil Support
Jan. 26, 2020 | 1:48
Task Force 1 participated in a simulated mass casualty decontamination line at Travis County Exposition Center, Austin, Texas, as part of Exercise Sudden Response 20, Jan. 25-26. Military units comprising the Defense Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Response Force (DCRF) are participating in the exercise, which is taking place in Killeen, Austin and Ft. Hood, Texas, from Jan. 24-29. As part of the exercise, teams are rehearsing force and equipment employment, life-saving operations and web-based command and control collaborative tools to ensure their ability to execute Defense Support of Civil Authority (DSCA) missions. The DCRF is comprised of approximately 5,000 personnel from military units located throughout the nation who come together to help fellow Americans in the event of a CBRN disaster response.
