F-35 Heritage Flight Team - FIDAE Air Show Broll
Air Forces Southern
April 7, 2018 | 2:10
Members of the U.S. Air Force F-35 Heritage Flight Team participated in the FIDAE (Feria Internacional del Aire y del Espacio) air show in Santiago, Chile, April 3-8, 2018. Two U.S. Air Force F-35 Lightning II aircraft from the 56th Fighter Wing, Luke Air Force Base, Arizona touched down in Santiago, Chile for the week-long air show. Members of the Heritage Team set up a static display of the aircraft and answered questions from the Chilean public.
The F-35's arrival in Santiago, Chile marks the first time this fifth-generation fighter has landed in South America. Over 120 thousand visitors attended the 6-day air show, where U.S. airmen participated in a variety of activities including subject matter exchanges with the Chilean Air Force, aerial demonstrations, and interaction with the local community.
