Jan. 23, 2018 | 1:00
I'm Lance Corporal Troy Saunders with your Marine Minute.
Marines with 3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment concluded a Tactical Small Unit Leaders Course at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, January 19th. The 10-day course provided small unit leaders with the confidence, knowledge and ability to effectively lead Marines in combat situations, by increasing their proficiency with various weapon systems and tactics.
Also in the Corps,
Marines with 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion participated in basic gunnery training at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, January 17th. The training helped improve their weapon proficiency with the LAV-25A2.
Also in the news,
The first enlisted female Marine to retire in the Corps was laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery, January 23rd. Master Sgt. Catherine G. Murray enlisted in the Marine Corps reserve in 1943 and was assigned to motor transport duties during World War II.
That's it for your Marine Minute, for more news around the Marine Corps go to Marines.mil.
