Coast Guard Station Oregon Inlet conducts bar report, towing training in Nags Heads, NC
U.S. Coast Guard District 5
Oct. 3, 2017 | 0:57
A Coast Guard 47-foot Motor Life Boat crew from Station Oregon Inlet assists a mariner in crossing the Oregon Inlet bar, then conducts a training tow with a Coast Guard 29-foot Response Boat-Small crew in Nags Head, North Carolina, Oct. 3, 2017. Due to the hazardous nature of Oregon Inlet, station personnel routinely help boaters navigate the area by conducting bar reports and escorting them to safer waters.
