B-roll of U.S. Soldiers from 1st Squadron, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Indiana Guardsmen and fellow NATO allies: Czech Army, Polish armed forces, and Hungarian forces participate in the opening ceremony of Slovak Shield 2018 on Lest Military Training Area, Slovakia, Sept. 23.
Slovak Shield 2018 is a multifaceted collaboration of U.S. forces and NATO forces to test and refine tactical and operational capabilities.
The units are deployed to Europe as part of Operation Atlantic Resolve, a U.S. led effort that demonstrates U.S commitment to the collective security of NATO and dedication to enduring peace and stability in the region.
