U.S. Marines and U.S. Navy Sailors with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) conduct a non-combatant evacuation operation exercise at Camp Lejeune, N.C., during the Amphibious Ready Group (ARG)/MEU Exercise Nov. 10, 2013. The MEU took part in ARG/MEU Ex in preparation for its scheduled 2014 deployment to the U.S. 5th and 6th Fleet areas of responsibility with the Bataan ARG as a sea-based, expeditionary crisis response force capable of conducting amphibious missions across the full range of military operations.
