B-29 Restoration
22nd Air Refueling Wing
July 22, 2014 | 1:25
During World War II, B-29 Superfortresses had a 90-day, 3-mission life expectancy when flying over Japan. After the war, many B-29s were scrapped or used for target practice. But, one B-29 survived the target practice and forty years in the Mojave Desert. Now it’s being restored in the middle of America. Airman 1st class Jarrod Vickers introduces us to ‘Doc.’
