Leymah Gbowee, a 2011 Nobel Peace Prize recipient who led a women’s peace movement that brought an end to the Second Liberian Civil War in 2003, will deliver a keynote address on "The Critical Significance of Engaging Women in Peace and Security" at U.S. Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island on Aug. 10 at 6:30 p.m. ET. The event is part of the college's Evening Lecture Series and is being held in conjunction with the college's fifth annual Women, Peace and Security (WPS) Conference.
