Daily Grind; Development in belt grinding improves weapon system readiness
Air Force Research Laboratory
April 27, 2018 | 4:27
The Air Force Small Business Innovation Research/Small Business Technology Transfer Program and ES3 have provided a belt grinding technology that results in a safer way to grind landing gear technology.
Belt grinding helps the warfighter by increasing throughput during the grinding of chrome and high velocity oxygen fuel and base materials. The process is safer, lest costly and increases readiness by putting the warfighter back in their aircraft weapon systems.
