Master Sergeant Adam Wright working as part of the Innovative Readiness Training team in Jayuya, Puerto Rico. He and his counter parts from other U.S. military services are providing no cost medical care to civilians as part of the Innovative Readiness Training program.
Wright works full time as a Fire Fighter EMT in Sioux City, Iowa and is a 20 year veteran of the Air Force. He is on his second IRT mission and says events like this are a great opportunity for all involved.
The goal of the program is to provide realistic training while at the same time administering no cost medical care for underserved areas in the U.S .
Wright and other Airmen from the Iowa Air Guard’s 185th Air Refueling Wing based in Sioux City, Iowa are providing medical care as part of a two week exercise.
The entire group of nearly 500 military members is spread out in six different locations, providing medical screenings, dental and optometry care.
