This edition features stories on the Army partnering with the Nature Conservancy at Fort Benning, Ga., to restore and enhance the long-leaf pines, ground cover, and habitat to help protect rare species from becoming endangered, the Army’s initiatives to protect the environment with its Formerly Used Defense Sites programs, a Vietnam veteran who regularly visits the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C., remembering his brothers-in-arms, and the Old Guard Sentinels who keep alive the memories of unidentified Soldiers that were lost in battle at the Tomb of the Unknowns in Arlington National Cemetery.
