U.S. Marines execute a High Mobility Artillery Rocket System rapid infiltration during exercise Typhoon Crossbow 24.2 on Iwo To, Japan, Feb. 27, 2024. Typhoon Crossbow is an exercise that proves 3d Battalions, 12th Marine Regiments abilities to establish an expeditionary advanced base by executing a HIRAIN. HIRAIN is the process of identifying a target, seizing key terrain, inserting HIMARS, destroying the target and retrograding back to a secure location.
