A Brief History of Eclipse Photography: Episode 5
Air Force Research Laboratory
April 5, 2024 | 7:59
By 1923 - aircraft and photography were developing hand in hand thanks to the work of folks like Lt George Goddard and Albert Stevens. What came next though was their first attempt to bring the lens from the ground to the stars to cover the 1923 solar eclipse just off of San Diego.
Learn more about Stevens and Macready's flight trying to capture this event courtesy of Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's chief historian Kevin Rusnak.
