PRESS RELEASE

7th ARMY TRAINING COMMAND

GRAFENWOEHR, GERMANY

HOHENFELS, Germany – Nearly 3,000 U.S. and multinational Soldiers from Austria, Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Italy, Spain, Latvia, Lithuania, North Macedonia, Slovakia, Slovenia, and the United Kingdom will train together during exercise Allied Spirit 25, from Feb. 22 to March 24, 2025, at 7th Army Training Command’s training areas near Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels, Germany.

The U.S. Army will host this event which is designed to develop and enhance NATO and key partner interoperability and readiness across specified warfighting functions, resulting in a more lethal Alliance.

Allied Spirit 25 is a recurring exercise designed to prepare a multinational brigade in support of NATO deterrence initiatives. Unlike other U.S. Army Europe and Africa exercises, which feature U.S. brigade combat teams in a lead role, a brigade from a NATO ally serves as the primary training audience.

The primary training audience is the Lithuanian Army’s Motorized Infantry Brigade Griffin along with the U.S. maneuver battalion, 1st Squadron 91st Cavalry Regiment (1-91 CAV). The U.S. 28th Infantry Division will serve as the Higher Command. U.S. Units from the 12th Combat Aviation Brigade, 173rd Airborne Brigade, 21st Theater Sustainment Command, along with Medical, Psychological Operations, and Civil Affairs teams, will also participate in Allied Spirit 25.

The Joint Multinational Readiness Center, a subordinate command of the 7th Army Training Command, will run the exercise. All questions or media inquiries regarding AS25 should be referred to the 7ATC Public Affairs, E-mail: 7atc_pao@army.mil.
